Princess Leia from Star Wars Episode IV: A New HopeYear: 2017
Event(s): N/A Details: When I abruptly decided I was going to Star Wars Celebration in 2017, I knew I wanted to cosplay but didn't want to wear my only Star Wars costume at the time, Stupid Sexy Jawa, haha. I quickly made Leia's ceremonial dress from a New Hope but because of how lanky I am and a lack of local places to buy fabric, the sleeves weren't as long as I would have liked. I ended up selling the dress to a friend and contacting Costume SuperCenter to see if I could possibly get a Leia costume from them. Costume SuperCenter said yes and immideately sent out the dress I had asked for! Unfortunately for me, it arrived right after I had left for Florida and I ended up being Stupid Sexy Jawa after all. (Which was fine, because I had a great time in it) I eventually got around to taking some photos in the dress, but it never did see the light of a convention. |
